Gardiner Turtle of Pikangikum First Nation is the lands and
resources chair. He joined the youth council in the summer.
Some responsibilities of the Lands and Resources chair are:
- To research the development of lands and resources in NAN
territory. This includes logging, mining, tourism, etc.
- To gather and share traditional teachings about land use within
NAN territory.
- Study the impacts of land developments on the environment.
- To inform the youth about any projects having to do with lands
and resources in NAN territory.
