From: Identify your group. Are you from the same school? From a youth council? From the same community? From a club?

State your purpose: State the reason for submitting a petition and supply the facts to support your submission.

Make your request: The petition must include a request. What do you want the Chief and Council or your school for example to do to solve the problem?

Collect signatures: Collect as many signatures as you can.

Present your petition: Present your petition to a person who will listen to you and who has the power to make changes.

Lets have an outdoor volleyball tournament

We, the young people of our community, would like to have an outdoor volleyball tournament this summer. There is not a lot of recreational activities during the summer except for swimming. We would like to have a volleyball tournament and BBQ for the young people. It would be fun and it would give the young people something to do, as we would have to form teams, practice and have volunteers to run the tournament. We are asking for your support in this endeavour.
